Growing South Africa's Baseball Talent!
Five Bothasig Baseballers have been inducted into the South African U18 Baseball Team. The Club is proud of the accomplishments of these players.
Club member Keenan Clarke (Catcher); Darren Boltman (1st Base); Tyrone Milne (Catcher); Jordan King (Pitcher) and Dylan Stark (Pitcher) form part of the 20 man strong SA U18 Team to face the United Kingdom in a five game series, to be held in Johannesburg from 23 to 25 August.
These men joined the Bothasig Baseball Club as youngsters in the junior ranks. They have consistently proved themselves over recent years to be well rounded athletes, conditioned and fit. They have graduated through the junior ranks and have aggressively secured their positions within the clubs highest league. They recently formed part of the WP U18 A Team, which won Gold in the Inter-Provincial Tournament, held in Cape Town during April 2013.
The Bothasig Baseball Club has a long and proud heritage, having been established in 1974, boasts a history of international achievements, fantastic community involvement and participation. The club, currently the largest player attending baseball club in South Africa, is exceptionally honoured to have a fantastic youth stream of players, dedicated to the sport of baseball, hosting teams in the U10's; U12's; U14's; U16's age groups.
